The UNC TLT  Blackboard Vista Interest Group (formerly WebCT Vista) provides a structure for communication among those using the Blackboard Vista software. Blackboard Vista administration/integration, Blackboard Vista support/design, and transition to Vista are the three main areas of discussion. In its June 3, 2005 meeting, the IG identified three areas for further discussion as well as five areas of WebCT-related strategies and efforts that have been particularly effective. Issues for further discussion:
  1. Transition to Vista
  2. Integration with a Student Information System
  3. Training and Support
Blackboard Vista-related strategies and efforts that have been particularly effective:
  1. Discussion Tool
  2. Quizzing Tool: Can be used for paragraph-style questions to promote critical thinking
  3. Effective use of Blackboard Vista tools
  4. New Blackboard Vista Instructors – how to help
  5. Vista Best Practices
